ALBERTO GOES TO RIO

Alberto, an aging office employee who lives alone in a brutalist East London housing estate, dreams of returning home to his beloved Rio de Janeiro. During one solitary night in his single rented room, a drunk and drugged Alberto plunges into the abyss of his lush fantasies but the real life will soon catch up on him.

'Alberto Goes to Rio' is a cinema of disillusionment that shows how we are prisoners of the safe cages we have built for ourselves, choosing sweet illusion over reality.
